Maintain the Amsterdam to Cairo Direct Flight Throughout the Year

Helaas, petities.nl is voor petities aan de overheid en dergelijke monopolisten. Uw petitie gaat over een marktkwestie waar alternatieven voor (mogelijk) zijn. De overheid gaat daar niet over.
Als de markt niet vrij genoeg is of de consument beter beschermd moet worden dan kunt u natuurlijk wèl in een petitie vragen de marktwerking te verbeteren, want daar gaat de overheid over.
Voordat u een petitie aan een bedrijf richt is het handig om eerst een klacht in te dienen bij klantenservice en het antwoord af te wachten. Dat antwoord kunt u dan letterlijk citeren in een petitie, zodat iedereen kan lezen dat en waarom er niet geluisterd wordt naar de klacht.
De meeste bedrijven behandelen alle klachten systematisch. U krijgt ook persoonlijk antwoord en vergelijkbare klachten worden geteld en geanalyseerd. Alles wat binnenkomt via alle kanalen vormt samen een petitie zeg maar. Wat u vraagt wordt ook doorgerekend en uitgerekend als het bedrijf dat niet al heeft gedaan. Originele en nieuwe vragen gaan doorgaans ook direct door naar de directie of het hoofd van de marketing!
Daarnaast is het ook cruciaal dat een petitie ten eerste in het Nederlands is opgesteld. Een petitie kan wel een vertaling hebben, zodat die voor meer mensen te volgen is.
We, members of the Egyptian community in the Netherlands and all travelers who rely on affordable and accessible air travel between Amsterdam and Cairo, kindly request that Transavia continues operating the AMS–CAI direct route beyond March and April.
This route has already provided a vital service to more than 45,000 Egyptians living in the Netherlands, in addition to thousands of Dutch travelers who regularly visit Egypt for tourism, business, and family connections.
Before Transavia introduced this route, EgyptAir was the only carrier offering direct flights, often at significantly higher prices. Transavia’s presence created fair competition, resulting in more affordable and accessible travel options for everyone.
We respectfully ask Transavia to consider: 1. Operating the AMS–CAI route year-round instead of seasonally.
Increasing flight frequency during peak holiday periods.
Assigning a contact person from Transavia’s Network Planning or Route Development team to engage with our community representatives.
This request reflects genuine, sustained demand. For many families, students, and professionals, this route is not a luxury but a necessity.
We hope Transavia continues to serve this important connection and strengthens its relationship with one of the largest non-European communities in the Netherlands
